Missions has always been a core purpose of our church.  Our desire is to see the gospel of Jesus Christ spread to every corner of the globe believing that He has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.  On most Sundays you will hear a report form one of our supported ministries or missionaries, and discover ways you can be involved.

Community Church Of Chesapeake supports missions in the USA as well as in South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific.  Our missionaries are found in urban and rural environments serving in ministry to a wide range of socioeconomic situations.

The ministries and missionaries we support fall into the following strategic categories:
Church Planting: Spreading the gospel and establishing new churches in unreached or unengaged regions.
Discipleship: Serving to mature and train believers in ministry and encourage those serving.
Translation: Providing the Bible in languages that do not already have it.

Medical: Serving the underprivileged providing medical care while also sharing the hope of Jesus.
Media: Making Christ known through television, radio, and on-line formats.

We encourage every person at CCC to be involved with Missions.  Our first step of involvement is prayer.  We also allocate a healthy portion of our budget to the support of missions, and encourage regular attenders to consider directly supporting ministries and missionaries beyond regular giving to the church.  Opportunities to serve are also available on local and global missions teams and projects.

  • Serve The City

Serve The City is a collective effort of the faith-based community, civic organizations, government, and businesses to serve and meet needs in the community for the purpose of building trusting relationships, instilling hope, and transforming lives.

CCC helped launch and maintains involvement in projects and in the leadership of Serve The City Chesapeake.

Serve Week: Every June on the week following Father's Day

  • Kosovo Team

In July of 2018, CCC sent a team of volunteers to Kosovo to be a part of the launch of Serve The City.  With our Serve the City experience, we came alongside the Kosovo Serve the City Team in their first week long service effort. The needs in Pristina (the capital) are many with refugees, Romani (those who do not have a permanent home and move in groups often) and a high unemployment rate. The goal was, and continues to be to start an ongoing effort of believers partnered with those interested to meet needs in their community, and provide an entrance point for the gospel.
